Show/hide the depth line
You can toggle the depth line On or Off. Any change is applied only to your
Sounder
screen. On is the default.
When the depth line is On, you can move it up and down to find the depth of a
specific object on the
Sounder
screen (See Page 105).
To change the depth line setting:
1. Display
the
Sounder
screen and the control panel. If you can't see the
Display
button, select
Return
.
2. The
Depth Line
button displays the current setting. Select the
button if you want to toggle to the other setting. The new setting is
applied immediately and stays until you change it again.
3. When you are finished, select
Return
.

Move the depth line
The depth line is white horizontal line. You can move this to find the depth of an
object on your
Sounder
screen. Any change is applied only to your
Sounder
screen.
NOTE: If you can't see the depth line, check whether it's On. (See Page 105) If it
is
On and you can't see it, try changing the range as it may be out of view (see
"Change the range" page 118).
To move the depth line:
1. Display
the
Sounder
screen and the control panel. If you can't see the
Move Depth Line
button, select
Display
.
2. Select
Move Depth Line,
then select
Up
or
Down
to move the
depth line one step. Repeat if necessary.
3. The new setting is applied immediately and stays until you change it
again.
4. Select
OK
to confirm the new setting.
5. When you are finished, select
Return
.

Change the sounder operating mode
You can operate the sounder automatically to suit fishing or cruising conditions, or
manually.
IMPORTANT: Use cruising mode when you're traveling at speed.
If you operate the sounder manually, you can change the range and gain to suit
your own preferences. The best results are often returned in manual mode but
the optimum settings for different conditions are usually found only with practice
and experience.
To change the sounder operating mode:
1. Display
the
Sounder
screen and the control panel. If you can't see the
Auto Mode
button, select
Return
.
