Restoring data with the Backup Restore tool
If you want to do an immediate restore of a backed up file, you can use the Backup Restore tool
found under the Run Tool heading.

Decide which backup file you are going to restore:
• If you are restoring a backup file that was created by a scheduled backup, rename the file
as
FNVRAM.new . Refer to Figure 60 .

• If you are using a backup file that was created using the Backup Restore tool, you will
need to know the path to that file. The file is already called FNVRAM.new .

Open ICSRT.

If you are not in the correct database, find the database where the correct customer is located.

Select the customer you want to connect to.

Click on Run Tool , and select Backup Restore .
The connect screen appears, with the connect information for that system.

Click on Connect .
After your computer connects to the Norstar System, the Backup and Restore screen appears.

Click on the Restore tab. The screen shown in Figure 61 appears.

Click on the Get System ID / Business Name button to ensure that you are backing up the
correct system.

Click on the System programming check box to make it active. Note that the Restore Now
button becomes active.

Click on Browse and navigate to the CustomerInfo database backup folder that contains the
backup file you want to restore. Refer to step 1.

Ensure that the Restore most recent file is selected, unless you want to restore the archive
backup.

Rename the file to FNVRAM.new
