Patient environment
The patient environment is the volume of space in which contact can occur between the
patient and any part of the device or between the patient and any other person(s) touching
the device.
Use devices that comply with IEC60601-1 in the patient environment. If any device that does
not comply with IEC 60601-1 is to be used, use an isolation transformer or common protec-
tive grounding.
