PHASE 3
3.1 - PRE-INSTALLATION CHECKS
Important!
– Before proceeding with installation, it is necessary to check
that this motor model is suited to the characteristics of the roller shutter to
be automated, and that it is compatible with the installation environment.
Therefore, carry out the following checks:
•
01.
Establish the type of material from which your roller shutter is
made.
02.
Calculate the surface area of the roller shutter (length x height =
m
2
......?) and verify in the
Table A
if your engine is suitable for automating
your roller shutter.
CAUTION! – If the engine is not suitable, stop the
installation and contact the Technical Assistance service.

3.1.1 - Warnings
• The tubular motor can automate your shutter only if the length of the
case (the space above the window that houses the roller tube) is 90
mm longer than the roller shutter width (
fig. 3
).
•
Only for Mhousekit RME-TN
–
The tubular motor can only be installed
to the interior of a sheet metal roller tube, with octagonal cross-section,
with an inner circle diameter of 60 mm and an included sheet thickness
between 0.6 and 1 mm (
fig. 4
).
Caution!
– the length of the tube cleft
must be between 8 and 11.5 mm. Lengths greater than 11.5 mm do
not ensure safe attachment on the springs (
fig. 2-m
).
• The length of the roller tube must be calculated, whilst taking into
account the following advised minimum and maximum limits:
– the
minimum length
must be, where possible, slightly
greater than
the length of the roller shutter to be automated;
– the
maximum length
must be less than the length of the existing
case. The
maximum length must leave space for the footprint of the
fixing and support mechanisms which are to be mounted at the two
ends of the tube (
for Mhousekit RME-TN: ensure 45 mm for each tube
end –
fig. 5
).
