Verifying and upgrading the StorageGRID Appliance Installer version

The StorageGRID Appliance Installer version on the appliance must match the software version
installed on your StorageGRID system to ensure that all StorageGRID features are supported.

Before you begin

You have accessed the StorageGRID Appliance Installer.

About this task

StorageGRID appliances come from the factory preinstalled with the StorageGRID Appliance
Installer. If you are adding an appliance to a recently upgraded StorageGRID system, you might
need to manually upgrade the StorageGRID Appliance Installer before installing the appliance as a
new node.

The StorageGRID Appliance Installer automatically upgrades when you upgrade to a new
StorageGRID version. You do not need to upgrade the StorageGRID Appliance Installer on
installed appliance nodes. This procedure is only required when you are installing an appliance
that contains an earlier version of the StorageGRID Appliance Installer.
