Defaults
Defaults lets you reset system parameters to their initial
factory settings, which are called default values.
To set system parameters back to the default settings, high-
light “Defaults.” Press
Enter
. At the prompt, type
y
to re-
turn the system to its initial factory settings. Otherwise,
type
n
.
Defaults set for the Standard menu are as follows:

Date — 01/01/1993 (default setting; does not change
back to this once you set the date)
■
Time — 00:00:00 (default setting; does not change after
back to this once you set the time)
■
COM Port A — COM1 (3F8h)
■
Stick Pointer — Enable (enables SurePoint)
■
LPT Port Address — LPT1 (378h)
■
Diskette Drive — 1.44 MB; diskette drive
■
Hard Disk — Auto
■
Video Display — VGA display
Defaults set for the Preferences menu are as follows.

Quick Boot — Disabled; performs memory test
at start-up
■
Num Lock — Disabled; off at start-up
■
Boot Speed — High clock
■
Typematic Rate — 10 cps
■
Typematic Delay — 500 ms
■
Boot Password — Disabled
