1-24 Getting to Know Your Versa S

Power Management LED — lights green
when lit a steady green, Power Management features
are enabled.
when off, Power Management features are disabled.
when blinking, the system is in Suspend mode.

Hard Disk Drive LED — lights green when the hard
disk drive is being accessed. Avoid turning off the Versa
S when this LED is lit.
■
Diskette Drive LED — lights green when a diskette in
the diskette drive is being accessed.
CAUTION: Avoid removing a diskette from the
drive when the Diskette Drive LED is lit. Doing so
can damage the diskette and the drive.

Caps Lock LED — lights green when the Caps Lock is
in effect.
■
Scroll Lock LED — lights green when the Scroll Lock
key is active.
■
Num Lock LED — lights green when Num Lock mode
is in effect.
Controls
Versa S controls let you turn power on your computer,
power off your computer, or restart the system without
powering it off. These controls are described next.

The Power Button turns Versa S power on and off.
Press in the button to turn power on; press the button
again to turn power off. When power is on, the Power
LED lights.
