Save your changes when you exit SCU. The system
automatically recognizes the external mouse.
Monitor
You can attach an external VGA or multi-frequency moni-
tor to your Versa S.
Before attaching the external monitor, change the VGA
setting through the SCU or through the
Fn-F2
function key.
To use an external monitor, the VGA option should be
either CRT or Both.
If your setting is LCD, the Versa S does not recognize or
activate the external monitor. See Chapter 4 for details
about using this SCU setup program.
NOTE: You can switch display modes using
Fn-F2
to toggle between LCD, CRT, and Both.
To attach an external monitor you need a signal cable
(usually provided with the monitor). One end of the cable
must have a 15-pin male connector for the system.
Follow these steps to connect an external monitor to your
Versa S.
1.
Turn off the power to both the external monitor and the
Versa S. Do not leave the notebook in Suspend mode.
NOTE: The Versa S does not recognize the newly
connected monitor if you leave the system in Sus-
pend mode.
