electronic supply stores) or a cardboard box.
Caution
Be careful not to touch the capacitor located at the edge of the
memory slots A2 and B1. You may find it easier and safer to use
the tip of a tool to unlock the clips.
Installing a DDR module
1.
Remove the right side door.
See “Removing the Right Side Door” on page 122.
2.
Remove the front panel.
See “Removing the Front Panel” on page 125.
3.
If you need to remove a currently installed memory module, refer to the above
section.
4.
Align the new module with an empty memory socket. Make sure the notch on
the module aligns with the key in the socket. The module is designed to install
into the socket in only one way.
5.
Press the module firmly into the socket. If you have difficulty installing a
module, do not force it! Carefully remove the module, then check the
