Making a Telephone Call is not Permitted

Most telephone calls are impossible during a power failure or power off.

Some telephones are capable of making calls during a power failure.

When an external telephone is connected, a call can be received.

Condensation may build up around the scanning area and optics inside the unit when
rapid temperature changes occur. This moisture can accumulate and cause image
quality to degrade.
This section describes how the anti-dew (condensation) function can be set to
prevent this problem from occurring.
Anti-Dew Procedure:
Ë
The lamp in the document scanning area lights for five minutes. This will
evaporate any moisture inside the scanning area.
Anti-Dew Function:
Ë
This function can be set to automatically turn on at a set time every day. Enter the
time using the 24-hour clock.
Anti-Dew Procedure
1.
Press <Utility>.
2.
Select [Maint.] and touch
[Anti-dew]. The moisture
inside the scanning area
now begins to evaporate.
3.
Touch [Enter] repeatedly
until the display returns to
the stand-by screen.
