2. Clean the NX15/NX25 using a vacuum cleaner and a soft-bristle brush to remove
loose dirt. Clean, damp rags should be used to remove dirt that cannot be removed
with a vacuum cleaner. Never use compressed air to clean the NX15/NX25.
Checking hardware
All hardware must be checked at least once a year. Thermal cycling from turning the NX15/
NX25 on and off will require more frequent checks.
• To prevent damaging the hardware, ensure that the proper sized tools are used. In
most cases, hardware is metric.
• A mounting surface or terminal that has changed colour indicates a loose hardware
connection.
• Multi-stranded cables installed on terminal strips must be retorqued (See
“Wiring/connector lists” on page 3-1

Battery replacement
The NX15/NX25's Control/Interface PWB contains a battery backup circuit that provides a
memory of alarm occurrences during ac power failure. See

.
Replacing
the air filter
If the air filter becomes damaged or too dirty to clean, replace it as follows:

Replacement air filter and filter coat spray.
