4. Access Lock Keys (quantity 2): required to open access panels throughout the
transmitter system. Access panels must be closed and locked to release access lock keys.
Opening access panels
Procedure to gain access to the inside of the transmitter:
1. Turn off the ac disconnect switch or the ac breaker at the ac power-entrance panel (see
“Guidelines (1): Ac power entrance panel” on page 2-136
SERVICE ENTRANCE
KEY
(‘A’ key) counter clockwise and remove the key.
2. Insert the
SERVICE ENTRANCE KEY
(‘A’ key) into the antenna ground switch (see
“Guidelines (2): Antenna ground switch” on page 2-136
) lock labelled

ENTRANCE KEY
and turn the key clockwise.
3. Close the
ANTENNA GROUND SWITCH
(see
“Guidelines (2): Antenna ground switch”
) by pulling it down towards the top of the transmitter. Turn the
TRANSFER CASE KEY
(‘B’ key) counter clockwise and remove the key.
4. Insert the
TRANSFER CASE KEY
(‘B’ key) into the transfer case (see
), and turn it clockwise. The two access lock keys (‘C’
keys) will be released.
5. Remove an access lock key (‘C’ key) from the transfer case, and insert it into the
appropriate access lock on the rear door or the filter panel behind the front door. Turn
the key clockwise to unlock the access panel or rear door.
Applying Ac power to the transmitter
Procedure to close the transmitter and apply ac power:
1. Close all filter panels and rear doors. To release the access lock key (‘C’ key) in each
panel or door, turn it counter clockwise and remove it from the lock.
2. Insert both access lock keys (‘C’ keys) into the transfer case (see

counterclockwise and remove it from the transfer case.
3. Insert the

and turn the key clockwise. Open the
ANTENNA GROUND SWITCH
(2) by pushing
it up away from the top of the transmitter.
