10.6 Connection of the Sensors
General Instructions
-
Incorrect connection of the sensors can cause damage both to the SUPREMA and to the sen-
sor itself.
-
It must be ensured that the adapter modules corresponding to the sensors are plugged into the
appropriate MAI module (verify that the sequence is correct (Chapter 10.3).
-
After the sensors have been connected, they are to be separated electrically again by pulling
the connector plug on the MAT or MAT TS module. They are to be plugged in again individually
only as part of the startup procedure (Chapter 11). If the MGT 40 TS module is being used, this
is to be disconnected by pulling the ribbon cable connector to the MUT module.
-
To ensure that the system will function correctly, the EMC Directives and the measures derived
from them must be observed Chapter 10.1).
The cables are to be connected to the SUPREMA and to the sensors in observance of the allow-
able cable cross sections and the maximum cable lengths. A detailed description of the connec-
