Task 20: Restoring an iDEN
®
Phone Using the Recover
Wizard
The Recover Wizard allows you to recover an iDEN phone if it was subject to
communications failures after it was programmed.
1.
Select
Tools/Recover Wizard
. The Recover Wizard initializes and
displays.
2.
Using the iDEN programming cable, connect the phone that requires
recovery. (See “Setting Up the Programming Hardware” as described on
page 16.)
3.
Click the Recover Wizard icon, located on the iDEN toolbar.
4.
The
PC
reads the phone information and looks for the codeplug backup file
for this phone. If recovery information is found, the
PC
recovers the phone.
Recovery is automatic and can not be cancelled once the operation begins.
5.
A progress bar displays as the backup codeplug is written to the phone.
6.
If recovery is successful, a message dialog displays.
Do not unplug the phone during this step.
