Data Manager – Configurations and Files
This section deals with the administration of configuration data (settings of the ETC) and the
download, upload and deletion of files (download of system software, switch programs and
season tables).
17.1 Administration
of
the Configuration Data
The current configuration data and the switch program are stored in the battery-
maintained RAM and can be saved in the non-volatile flash memory and can also be
loaded from this, see diagram. In addition, a function permits the loading of default
configuration.

17.2 File Download in General
With the PC software ETCW, the following files can be downloaded on the ETC: system
software, season table and switch programs.
The RS232 interface is used for the download. It can be contacted via the RJ10
connector in the front panel or via terminals (refer to annexe A). Both interfaces fulfil the
same function. When using the interface in the front panel, the interface RS232 on the
terminals is deactivated.
A manual interruption of a download from ETC’s side is not possible. If the download is
not started within one minute after initialisation via the menu, the ETC will revert to normal
operation.
When errors occur during the download of files, these are indicated by means of an error
number and text:
