Rotation Speed Analog Filter
The rotation speed analog filter lets you adjust the responsiveness of the analog output for rotation
speed (voltage and current output).
With this equipment, the rotation speed analog filter passband can be set to either 1 Hz or 10 Hz.
This can be set using function mode F-07.
By default, [10 Hz] is selected. For details of the operating procedure, see "9. Function Mode".
Frequencies tend to have the following characteristics:
Frequency
1 Hz
10 Hz
Noise resistance
Response speed
Stable
Sensitive
Slow
Fast
Rotation Speed Digital Filter
The rotation speed digital filter provides stability through moving-average processing of input rotation
speeds.
With this equipment, the rotation speed digital filter can be set from [00] to [88].
The value set determines the number of moving-average samples for the rotation speed digital filter.
This can be set using function mode F-08.
By default, this is set to [00]. For details of the operating procedure, see "9. Function Mode".
The correlation between the setting and the number of moving-average samples is given approximately
by the following equation:
(No. of moving-average samples) = 2
m
+ 2
n
m: 10
1
setting
n: 10
0
setting
For example, if the setting is [55], the approximate number of moving-average samples will be as
follows:
(No. of moving-average samples) = 2
5
+ 2
5
= 64 cycles
The number of moving-average samples tends to have the following characteristics:
Number of moving-
average samples
High
Low
Noise resistance
Response speed
Stable
Sensitive
Slow
Fast
Display Functions
Display Frequency
With this equipment, the display frequency can be selected as either [4 times per second] or [20 times
per second]. This can be set using function mode F-04.
The torque and rotation speed display frequencies are linked together.
By default, [20 times per second] is selected. For details of the operating procedure, see "9. Function
Mode".
Torque Display Range
The torque display range for this equipment is set to between approximately -110 % and 110 % of the
maximum reading set during calibration. [-OL] will be displayed for values below this range, and [OL]
will be displayed for values above this range.
Rotation Speed Display Range
The rotation speed display range for this equipment is set to between -27,500 and 27,500. [-OS] will be
displayed for values below this range, and [OS] will be displayed for values above this range.
