Remove and Replace the LCD panel

Remove and Replace the LCD panel

This procedure describes how to remove and replace the LCD panel and applies to the 
Samsung or Sharp LCD panel.

See page 6-4 to remove the Top Cover.

See page 6-8 to remove the RF Shield.

1.

Place the Top Cover assembly face down on a towel or soft cloth to protect the 
touchscreen glass.

2.

Refer to Figure 6-19 and remove the following items.

•

The MSR assembly. The LCD bracket is easier to remove (and reinstall) when 
the Mag Stripe Reader and spill cover are removed.

•

Display Board (Samsung LCDs only).

•

Backlight Inverter Board
