On the multimedia system

Turn volume control

The volume of the current radio or media
source is set. The volume of other audio
sources can be adjusted separately.
Adjust this in the following situations:
R
during a traffic announcement
R
during a navigation announcement
The volume of the navigation announce‐
ment changes in accordance with the vol‐
ume of the current media source.

during a telephone call
R
when entering or exiting a parking space
while using Active Parking Assist
or

Entering characters
Using the character input function
The following functions are available:
R
selecting a character in the character bar
R
writing a character on the touchpad
Character input can be started with a control
element and resumed with another.

On Touch Control and controller: select a
character in the character bar.
Depending on the destination entered, the
following is available:
R
the full set of characters
R
characters which are useful for the cur‐
rent input string
Other characters are grayed out.

On the touchpad: select a character in the
character bar.
or
#
Write the characters on the touch-sensitive
surface of the touchpad.
Handwriting recognition supports you by
means of character suggestions and a read-
aloud function.
