Situation-dependent braking assistance may intervene at speeds starting from approximately 4 mph (7 km/h) in the following situations:

Canceling a brake application of Active Brake
Assist
You can cancel a brake application of Active
Brake Assist at any time by:
R
Depressing the accelerator pedal fully.
R
Releasing the brake pedal.
Active Brake Assist cancels the intervention
when at least one of the following conditions is
fulfilled:
R
You maneuver to avoid the obstacle.
R
There is no longer a risk of collision.
R
An obstacle is no longer detected in front of
your vehicle.
Evasive Steering Assist (only vehicles with
Driving Assistance package)
Evasive Steering Assist has the following charac‐
teristics:
R
Can detect stationary or crossing pedes‐
trians.
R
Can assist the driver with additional steering
assistance if it detects a swerving maneuver.
R
Can be activated by an abrupt steering move‐
ment during a swerving maneuver.
R
Can assist during swerving and straightening
of the vehicle.
R
Can react from a speed of approximately
12 mph (20 km/h) up to a speed of approx‐
imately 43 mph (70 km/h).
R
You can prevent the assistance at any time
by active steering.
