O
The child restraint system must not be put
under strain by the head restraints. Adjust
the head restraints accordingly.
When fitting an i‑Size child restraint sys‐
tem, observe the following:
O
When using a rearward-facing child
restraint system: adjust the front seat so
that it does not touch the child restraint sys‐
tem.
O
When using a forward-facing child
restraint system: remove the head
restraint from the respective seat, if possi‐
ble. In addition, the seat backrest of the
child restraint system must, as far as possi‐
ble, lie flat against the backrest of the vehi‐
cle seat.
When you remove the child restraint sys‐
tem, install the head restraint again immedi‐
ately and adjust all the head restraints cor‐
rectly.

&
WARNING Risk of injury or death if the
rear seat backrests are not locked after
fitting Top Tether belts
If the rear seat backrests are not locked, they
could fold forwards in the event of an acci‐
dent, heavy braking or sudden changes of
direction.
As a result, child restraint systems cannot
perform their intended protective function.
Rear seat backrests that are not locked can
also cause additional injuries, e.g. in the
event of an accident.
#
Always lock rear seat backrests after
fitting Top Tether belts.
