If an unused seat belt is not fully retracted, it

may become trapped in the door or in the

seat mechanism.

is fully retracted.

Extending/retracting the seat belt extender

The seat belt extender for the front seat helps

you fasten your seat belt. When the door is

closed, the seat belt extender extends.
Mercedes-AMG vehicles: observe the notes in

the Supplement. Otherwise, you may fail to rec‐

ognise dangers. The seat belt extender button is

not available in Mercedes-AMG vehicles.
You can also extend the seat belt extender using

the seat belt extender button.
