Osaifu-Keitai
The Osaifu-Keitai function allows you to
make payments, use coupons, participate
in stamp rallies, etc. simply by waving the
FOMA terminal, equipped with an IC
card, over the reader in the store. In
addition, by waving the FOMA terminal
over the reader, you can access websites,
obtain the latest coupons, receive
electronic money and check the usage
status of electronic money by data
communication. Also, you can lock the
Osaifu-Keitai function for security in case
you lose the FOMA terminal.

To use the Osaifu-Keitai service, you need
to make settings on the relevant website
or by using the relevant application.
A fault in the FOMA terminal may cause
the data stored in the IC card (including
electronic money and earned points) to be
lost or changed. Before submitting the
FOMA terminal for repair, you should in
principle delete all data from the terminal
by yourself; the FOMA terminal will not be
accepted if it contains any data.
