System providers may now define and apply their own Pro:Idiom Media Key (.pim) file to TVs at

an installation site. This section describes how to download the Pro:Idiom Mobile Key file using the

TV Manager Ez Download utility. Contact your LG service representative for further information on

this feature.

Before You Begin

• Obtain the proper Pro:Idiom Media Key (.pim) file from the system provider. Avoid using special

characters, such as ?, &, @, etc., in the filename.

• The Pro:Idiom Media Key file must be stored in a folder named “LG_DTV” in the root directory

of the USB memory device.

• Ensure the USB device has been formatted with FAT format.

Download the Pro:Idiom Media Key File

Caution: If you restore the TV to a factory default condition, the default Pro:Idiom

Media key will also be restored.

1. Turn ON the TV, and then insert the USB memory device into either of the USB ports on the TV.
2. Access the Ez Download utility, and select the appropriate USB memory device, as applicable (see

“Ez Download Utility” on pages 35 to 39 for further information).

3. With the Ez Download screen on display, use the Up/Down arrow keys to select

4. Use the arrow keys to select/highlight the Pro:Idiom Media Key file to download.
5. When you are ready to download the file, select

DOWNLOAD

on the screen, and then press

the Wheel (

) button on the Installer Remote.

Download progress will be displayed on the screen. Do NOT remove the USB device until the

download is complete. When the Ez Download process is complete, an overview of the results

will briefly be displayed and then, the TV will reboot.

6. Remove the USB memory device, and verify that the appropriate Pro:Idiom key is resident on

the TV.
