2.7. Connecting to ASM

The LevelOne Advanced Storage Management (ASM) software is factory-installed
on the Network Storage system. ASM runs in the browser on your PC. You can
access ASM:

Directly in your browser.

Through

SmartSYNC.

Browser Support

Choose one of the following browsers to use with ASM:

Internet

Explorer

Mozilla

Firefox

Netscape

Navigator

Safari (Mac OS X)

Finding the Network Storage’s IP Address

To access the Network Storage in your browser, you must know the Network
Storage’s IP address. Use SmartSYNC for this purpose.

1.

From the Windows Start menu, choose Programs, then LevelOne NAS Utility,
and then SmartSYNC.

2.

To open the SmartSYNC window, in the Windows
application tray (lower right corner of the screen),
double-click on the SmartSYNC icon.

The SmartSYNC screen appears with the Server
Information tab displayed. The IP address of the
Network Storage shown in the Server List.
