12.8 Exchanging the fixture for specimen
clamps
Depending on your individual order, the instru-
ment is delivered with either the orienting or
the non-orienting fixture for specimen clamps.
Both fixtures are interchangeable.
12.8.1 Disassembling the orienting fixture for
specimen clamps (Fig. 62.1)
Activate the handwheel locking system.
Remove the knife holder.
Remove the specimen clamp from the fixture for
specimen clamps.
Detach the four screws (1) with a no. 3 Allen key
and remove the dovetail adapter

Unscrew the adjusting screws

and

pletely.
Completely unscrew pressure piece

with a slot-
ted screw driver and remove it together with spring

and pin

Release eccentric bolt

rotating counterclock-
wise.
Evenly unscrew both screws

, accessible
through the bores holes

), and remove the orient-
ing fixture for specimen clamps

To reassemble, proceed in reverse order.
12.8.2 Assembling the non-orienting fixture for
specimen clamps (Fig. 62.2)
Attach the non-orienting fixture

to the speci-
men cylinder as shown in Fig. 61.2 and secure with
the four corresponding screws

(use no. 4 Allen
key).
Attach the dovetail adapter

and tighten the four
screws
