The SKY899 can accept altitude that is compatible with ARINC characteristic 552 and 552A. In addition,
special drivers are available to support the following altimeters:
Bonzer Mark 10X
Collins ALT-50
Collins ALT-55
King KRA 405 (Aux. Output #1)
King KRA10/10A
Sperry AA-100
Terra TRA 3000
Analog radio altitude connections:
RAD_ALT_IN_HI
P1-6 (High)
RAD_ALT_IN_LO
P1-7 (Low)
RAD_ALT_FLG
P1-14 (Valid Flag)
See appendix A for signal characteristics. Some analog radio altimeters have multiple outputs (e.g., King
model KRA405), verify the output to be interfaced to matches the signal characteristics listed table A-1.
2.18.2 ARINC-429
Radio altimeter ARINC-429 speed can be 12.5 or 100 kHz. Refer to paragraph 2.9.1 for ARINC-429
general sensor input information.
2.19 SERIAL DATA
The TRC has one RS-232 debug port (J7, terminal device) for service menu access. The TRC has an
auxiliary RS-232 and RS-422 data bus designated for future use (do not connect at this time).

2.20 SOFT-KEYS
Soft-key inputs are active low (see Appendix A for signal levels). If using a WX-1000/SKY497 display
connect the soft-keys 1 thru 4 per figures 2-2 or 2-3. Do not connect an external display to soft-key inputs
when sharing the WX-1000/SKY497 display with a WX-1000 processor.
