Error Messages
The Series 4000 timeclock displays two types of messages that can provide
helpful information when you are troubleshooting timeclock malfunctions:
!
Error Messages
!
Status Messages
This chapter contains all of the error and status messages that the Series 4000
timeclock can display. It also describes the possible causes of the error message.
Transaction Error Messages
These error conditions are found after a transaction is completed.
Error 01-1: Error reading badge barcode
The timeclock was able to detect that a badge was swiped, but the data on the
badge could not be decoded into a barcode. It is possible that the barcode
symbology is disabled.
Swipe the badge again. Enable the barcode symbology if applicable.
Error 02-1: Unrecognized badge format
The timeclock was able to decode the data on the badge, but the barcode does not
match any of the associated formats. The Series 4000 timeclock accepts only ADP
standard badges; any other badge formats (generic barcode badges) must be
identified via your host application software. Each step in a transaction has its
own set of badge formats, so while the badge format might be known by the
timeclock, it is possible it cannot be used for a specific step in a transaction.
Re-enter using a different badge.
