2. Indexing : the i5650, i5650S, i5850, and i5850S scanners have
indexing capabilities. Indexing provides three pre-configured options
to determine how you want the physical pages or images of your
documents to be numbered. When any indexing option is selected,
the print control will automatically be updated to include the Index
counter(s). Only Type 2 patches for document separators can be
used. Indexing also allows you to have the Type 2 patch pages
printed when they are scanned. An interactive example tool in the
scanning application is available to see how the intelligent printing
counters will increment when pages are scanned. When using
Indexing, there is no metadata included in the patch images to
indicate that it was read as a patch page.
- Single Sheet Documents is similar to the printer page counter.
In Single Sheet Document indexing every page is printed with an
incrementing Document counter. The print template will include
the “Indexing: Document” counter.
