Remote Listening

This function allows the user to turn on the microphone of a target radio through air signaling without any

audio or video indication on the target radio. This function can be used to listen to the surroundings of a

target radio.

1) Initiating Remote Listening

a) In the home page, press

to enter the menu.

Select “Contact”.

c) Select “Contact List” and a target private call contact.
d) Select “Remote Listening”.

e) The screen displays the alias or ID of the target radio and indicates that the radio is sending remote

listening signaling. The red indicator glows.

f) Wait for response from the target radio.
g) If the response from the target radio is received, the message “Remote Listening Succeeded” will be
displayed; otherwise “Remote Listening Failed” will be displayed.
Note:

In the process, if the retry count is used up and no response is received, the radio automatically stop
