3.16 Protection
The tester enters the PROTECTION status in the cases speci fi ed below, as the inter-
nal protective circuit activates.
In the PROTECTION status, the PROTECTION LED lights on the indicator, the
output is cut off, and the test stops.
The following events are arranged in order of priority in protection:

Internal po wer fault
When the main po wer supply in the tester is o v erloaded, “O VER CURR” fl ashes on
the LCD.
Press the PO WER-switch ag ain. If “O VER CURR” is still displayed, an internal cir -
cuit may be brok en. Contact Kikusui distrib utor/agent.
■
INTERLOCK signal
When the interlock connector is opened, the tester enters the INTERLOCK status.
“INTERLOCK” fl ashes on the LCD.
T o cancel the INTERLOCK status, short-circuit the INTERLOCK signal and press
the ST OP switch.

Inser tion/e xtraction of the scanner connector
When a connector is inserted or e xtracted with the optional scanner in use, the pro -
tection function acti v ates and “SCANNER” fl ashes on the LCD.
T o cancel the protection function, press the ST OP switch.
