3.8 Starting and Ending a Test
• The test cannot be started with in v alid settings or in the protection status. F or
information on in v alid settings and the protection status, see "3.15 In v alid Set -
tings " and "3.16 Protection " .
• The test cannot be started while the ST OP switch is pressed. (The test also cannot
be started when the ST OP signal of remote control is acti v e.)
• If the DOUBLE A CTION is on, press the ST AR T switch within approximately 0.5
seconds after pressing the ST OP switch, as the test will not start otherwise. F or
details on DOUBLE A CTION, see "3.10 System Settings " .
• If the MOMENT AR Y function is ON, the test runs only while the ST AR T switch
is pressed. F or details on MOMENT AR Y , see "3.10 System Settings " .
3.8.1 Starting a test
To start a test, press the START switch when the tester is in the READY status on
the Test-Condition Settings screen. When the tester is in the READY status,
“READY” lights up at the top right of the LCD.

As soon as the test starts, the LCD displays the following:
During the test, “TEST” is displayed at the top right of the LCD, and the TEST LED
and DANGER lamp light up on the indicator. (During a voltage rise, “TEST”
fl ashes at the top right of the LCD.)

The time is displayed differently depending on whether the timer function is on or
off.
The timer is ON : The remaining test time is displayed.
The timer is OFF : The elapsed test time is displayed.
(When 999 seconds have elapsed, “999” fl ashes.)
