In Case of Problems
The following problems do not necessarily indicate failures. Please make the fol-
lowing inspections before requesting repairs.

Make sure that the contrast adjustment
is correct.
Make sure that ambient temperatures
are not below the recommended opera-
tional limits.
The keys on the front
panel do not work.
Make sure that the key lock function is
off.
Make sure that the tester is not being
controlled remotely via the GPIB or RS-
232C interface.
LOCAL key
The START key does
not function.
Check that no stop signal is being input.
Chapter 5 “REMOTE and SIGNAL I/O”
Check that the tester is not in PROTEC-
TION, PASS, or FAIL status.
Check that the tester is not in the midst
of system setup, interface setup, or pro-
gram editing.
Check that the tester is not currently
saving or recalling information from
panel memory.
Make sure that the double action func-
tion is off.
Check that the "READY" indication is
displayed on the LCD.
Check that “OVER VOLT” is not blink-
ing in the upper right of the LCD.

Check that “OVER VA” is not blinking
in the upper right of the LCD.

Check that “OVER RESI” is not blink-
ing in the upper right of the LCD.

Check that “UP<= LOW” is not blink-
ing in the upper right of the LCD.
4.9.2, “Upper Reference Value <= Lower
Reference Value (UP <= LOW) ”
The fan does not run.
The fan adjusts its rotational rate
depending on the tester's internal tem-
peratures; if the internal temperatures
are sufficiently low, the fan will not run.
If "OVER HEAT" appears on the LCD
and the fan is not running, the tester is
defective.
