Features of your vehicle

Opening the liftgate (tailgate)

The power liftgate (tailgate) will open
automatically by doing one of the fol-
lowing:
• Press and hold the liftgate (tail-

gate) unlock button on the trans-
mitter or smart key until the power
liftgate (tailgate).

• While power liftgate (tailgate) oper-

ating, you can stop it if you shortly
press the unlock button on the
transmitter or smart key.

CAUTION

Do not close or open the power
liftgate (tailgate) manually during
automatic operation. This may
cause damage to the power lift-
gate (tailgate) or to the vehicle.
If it is necessary to close or
open the power liftgate (tailgate)
manually when the battery is
discharged or disconnected,
make sure the liftgate (tailgate)
is not in operation. Switch the
power liftgate (tailgate) to the
off position. Do not apply exces-
sive force.
