and 3) whether the output is on or off. An ON/OFF button can be clicked to turn the output on or
off. The MODE button allows the user to change the BOP 1KW-ME operating mode (voltage or
current).
A small white “~” to the left of the voltage display flashes to indicate the web page is communi-
cating with the unit. If a fault condition exists, an alert window indicates the type of fault, and
operation via the web is disabled. When the fault is corrected, click OK to close the alert window
and resume operation via the web.
NOTE: If the OPERATE INSTRUMENT password has been set (see PAR. 3.5.7.5), you will be
prompted to enter the password before the OPERATE INSTRUMENT page settings
can be changed.
The functions that the user can modify are listed on the black menu bar below the representa-
tion of the front panel: Output, Reset and Waveform, and are described in the following para-
graphs.
NOTE: Once data in a field has been changed, clicking the browser’s BACK button will cause
all fields to revert to their previous values.

3.5.7.6.1 CHANGING THE OUTPUT
The Output dialog box opens when the OPERATE INSTRUMENT page is first opened, or when
OUTPUT
is clicked (see Figure 3-24). The default for setting output voltage or current and the
corresponding protection limits is to use INTERNAL reference levels as shown on the indicators
above the
Ref Input
and
Protection Limits
buttons on the simulated front panel. When in volt-
age mode, fields for setting output voltage and ±current protection values are displayed as
shown in Figure 3-24. When in current mode, fields for setting output current and ±voltage pro-
tection values are displayed. To set output voltage or current and the corresponding protection
values, enter the values and click
SET
. Voltage and current settings are not allowed to exceed
the model setting. Attempts to set voltage or current beyond these limits will not be accepted. To
turn the output on or off, click the
Output On/Off
button within the simulated front panel.
