16 Test for chemical resistance
16.1 Test procedure
16.1.1 Test 1
The units under test (UUT) are placed in a closable box (365 x 260 x 200 mm).
A ball of absorbent cotton that was tinctured with approx. 5 ml solvent will be
placed above the UUT. To avoid early evaporation, a cup (250 ml) will be put
over the ball of absorbent cottont.
10 min later the cup and the ball of absorbent cotton will be removed. The
solvent that remains on the UUT will not be wiped off and the box will be closed
immediately afterwards. The UUT will remain in the closed box for at least
24 hours.
The test will be performed at 20°C environmental temperature.
16.1.2 Test 2
The units under test (UUT) are placed in a closable box (365 x 260 x 200 mm).
Approx. 5 ml solvent will be sprayed over the UUT. The box will be closed and
the UUT will remain in the closed box for at least 24 hours.
The test will be performed at 20°C environmental temperature.
