Creating Blu-ray Discs with a BD Writer
*The JVC external Blu-ray drive is known as “BD writer”.
You can copy the recorded files to Blu-ray discs or play back the created
Blu-ray discs using an optional BD writer (external Blu-ray drive).
Caution :
0 Use either BD-R or BD-RE. DVD and dual-layer discs (DL) cannot be
used.

You can use BE08LU20 from LG. (as of June, 2015)

Memo :
0 The recordable time on the disc varies according to the way of recording.

You cannot create a disc if the remaining battery power is not enough.
Charge this unit fully beforehand.
0 If you copy many images at once, it may not be possible to create the disc
halfway through the process. If the volume of the image data is large, copy
the data in several times.
0
When backing up the files, it may take time for the backup to be completed.
Wait for a while as the POWER/ACCESS lamp appears blinking, which
indicates normal operation.
0 Date and time information as saved as subtitles in the created discs.
Preparing a BD Writer
Caution :
0 You cannot create a disc if the remaining battery power is not enough.
Charge this unit fully beforehand.

Do not use the AC adapter provided with this unit.
0 Use either BD-R or BD-RE. DVD and dual-layer discs (DL) cannot be
used.

0 When connecting this unit to the BD writer (external Blu-ray drive),
purchase the following USB conversion cable (optional).

Open the terminal cover.

Connect the USB cable and the AC adapter of the BD writer.

Before making any connection, close the LCD monitor to turn off this
unit.

Connect the USB cable of the BD writer (external Blu-ray drive).
0 The USB cable provided with this unit cannot be used.
0 Take note of the cable direction (A/B).

Connect the USB cable provided with the BD writer to the BD writer
using the end with the “B” marking.

Attach the USB cable to an optional USB conversion cable, then
connect to this unit.

Plug the AC adapter of the BD writer into the power outlet.

Connect the other end of the AC adapter to the BD writer.
0 The BD writer turns on.
0 Refer also to the instruction manual of the BD writer (external Blu-ray
drive). For details on the connection, please refer to the above.

Open the LCD monitor.

0 This unit turns on and the “BACK-UP” menu appears.
0 While the USB cable is connected, the “BACK-UP” menu is
displayed.
