USE
Start by getting to know how the trampoline feels to jump on.
Focus on basic things like body position, and practice each basic jumping technique until you
master them and are in complete control
.
To cushion a jump and stop, just bend your knees when you land
.
Practice stopping while learning the basic jumping techniques. Being able to stop properly is extra
important if you lose your balance or control during a jump.
Start with the simplest jumps and make sure you can fully master them before continuing with more
difficult jumps.
A controlled jump means that you jump up and land on the same spot on the bounce mat
.
NOTE!
If you go on to more difficult jumps before you have mastered the basic jumping techniques you
will increase the risk of personal injury
.
Do not jump for long sessions on the trampoline, because tiredness increases the risk of personal
injury.
Jump for short sessions and take turns, so that more of you can take part and have fun.
Never allow more than one person at once to jump on the trampoline.
If you are jumping you should have suitable clothes, e.g. t-shirt and shorts or sweatpants, and
special gym shoes, thick socks, or barefoot. If you are a beginner you should wear a long-sleeved
shirt and long trousers to protect yourself from scratches until you have learned to master basic
jumping techniques and landing. Do not wear shoes with hard soles, e.g. tennis shoes, on the
trampoline because they wear out the bounce mat.
Always get on and off the trampoline properly to avoid personal injury.
Get on by placing your hand on the frame and either climbing up or rolling over the frame, over the
springs and up onto the bounce mat.
Remember to always place your hands on the frame when getting on and off the trampoline.
Do not step directly on the frame pad, or grip the frame pad.
Get off the trampoline by going up to the edge and placing a hand on the frame to support you as
you step down. Small children must be helped on and off the trampoline.
Never jump carelessly or without proper control on the trampoline, because this increases the risk
of personal injury. Control and good jumping technique is the key to safe and enjoyable jumping.
Never compete on who can jump the highest!
Never use the trampoline alone without supervision.
