8-7. Attaching / removing the hook
When you replace the sewng hook, remove t n the
followng procedures ;
1) Turn the handwheel untl the needle reaches to ts
hghest poston.
2) Remove the needle, presser foot, throat plate,
feed dog and bobbn case from the machne.
3) Remove the setscrew

and take out the bobbn
case positioning finger

4) Loosen the two screws

and remove the sewng
hook

Reverse the above procedures when nsertng the
sewng hook. At ths tme, make sure that top end

of the bobbin case positioning finger is aligned with
lne
B
. as shown in the figure on the left. Never let
A
protrude from lne
B
.
5) Turn ON/OFF the power to return from the hook adjustng mode to the normal sewng mode.
* Sewng machne does not work even when the front part of the pedal s depressed durng the hook adjust-
ng mode.
* Needle throwng works by turnng the handwheel by hand.
* Needle bar moves when the set value s changed at needle UP poston.

WArNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the
following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.
It is possible for zigzag width and position of the stitch base line to set up to the width of 10
mm regardless of the max. zigzag width limitation at the time of the hook adjusting mode.
When using the hook adjusting mode for the machine to which presser foot, gauge, etc.
are attached, be very careful in performing the adjustment.
