Specifying test configuration settings

– TS ERROR INDICATORS . This is the maximum allowable test stream
(TS)
bits with the error indicator bit set.
– TS CONTINUITY ERRORS . This is the maximum allowable continuity
errors
.
– RTP LOST PACKETS . This is the maximum number of allowable lost
packets (continuity errors).
– RTP ERRORS . This is the maximum number of allowable packets with
errors.
The video settings are configured.
Specifying traceroute
settings
If your test set includes the Advanced IP option, you can run a traceroute test
to locate the network segment which is causing delay. The following procedure
describes how to specify traceroute settings.
To specify traceroute settings
1 Select MODEM TEST from the Main Menu.
2 Select SETUP .
3 Select ADVANCED .
4 Select TRACEROUTE .
5 Use the keypad and arrow keys to enter the destination URL or IP
address.
When you enter a value the cursor will move to the next position after a
one second pause.
The traceroute settings are configured.
Specifying DNS settings
If your test set includes the Advanced IP option, you can specify DNS settings.
The following procedure describes how to specify DNS (Domain Name Server)
settings.
To specify DNS settings
1 Select MODEM TEST from the Main Menu.
2 Select SETUP .
3 Select ADVANCED .
4 Select DNS SETUP .
5 Enter up to three IP addresses of DNS servers for static configurations.
The DNS settings are configured.
NOTE:
When the LAN or WAN interface is configured using DHCP, the interface will
use the DHCP-assigned DNS servers instead of the manually configured
server addresses.
