Enabling PTM mode
If your unit is equipped with the PTM option, this menu allows you to enable
pattern transfer mode (PTM mode).
To enable PTM mode
1 Select SYSTEM SETUP from the Main Menu.
2 Select PTM SETUP .
3 Select ENABLE .
Viewing the battery status
The battery menu reports the following:
– type of battery
– battery status
– voltage
To view the battery status
1 Select SYSTEM SETUP from the Main Menu.
2 Select BATTERY .
3 View the battery status.
4 Press the Cancel key to exit the menu.
Setting the language
The LANGUAGE menu allows you to change the language of the user inter-
face.
To set the language
1 Select LANGUAGE from the Main Menu.
2 Select the desired language.
The user interface changes to the specified language.
NOTE:
When PTM is enabled, no data tests can be done (IP Ping, Trace Route,
and so on). To run data tests, disable PTM mode.
NOTE:
You also use this menu to manually start charging the batteries, if necessary
(see the last bullet in
“General preparation” on page 4 ).
