3.4.2 SETTING KNIFE STOP
3.4.2.1 Forward Knife Stop:
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the knife spindle, knife or mandrel:
•
‘FORWARD KNIFE STOP’ & ‘PIVOT POINT’ must be adjusted whenever a knife is
changed.
•
Mandrel support
MUST
be raised when setting knife to mandrel.
Scroll through screen/s to MACHINE SETTINGS
(Screen 1/ Machine Settings)
Press KNIFE CARRIAGE SETTINGS
(Screen 2 /Knife Carriage Settings)
Press screen KNIFE FORWARD STOP
(Screen 3/Knife Forward Stop)
Press FAST MOVEMENT then using H/H
Module(
↓) move knife forward in High Speed to
about 5mm away from mandrel (shaft)
Press screen SLOW MOVEMENT and then bring
knife forward by pressing
KNIFE FORWARD until it penetrates mandrel
approx .3 mm
(Note: on H/H Module will
move knife back in this screen)
Setting varies with O/D of knife - Typical Setting
when using 400mm O/D knife: 172.90
Note: This distance must be greater than that set
on Screen 4 (Knife Adj Rear Stop)
