Commands
•
Command syntax is shown in the text as it should be entered into the
JANUS 2050. For example, to see a listing of directories on the JANUS 2050,
type the following command and press
e
.
dir
•
Commands may be shown with special characters that are not part of the
command. Do not include the special characters when you type or scan the
command. These characters indicate information about each part of the
command.
Braces { } enclose a parameter that is required. For example, you format an
SRAM card with this command:
format {drive:}
where you replace
{
drive:
}
with the letter designation of the drive where
the SRAM card is located.
•
Configuration commands use the convention data to indicate variable data.
For example, the configuration command for beep volume is:
BVdata
where data can be a number from 0 through 4. Replace the term data with
one of the options listed with the command syntax. For example, the
configuration command to turn the beep volume off is BV0.
•
Bold type is used when keystrokes that you enter are included within
textual information. For example, “To load the protocol handler for COM1,
you would use 1” indicates you would press 1 on your keypad.
