8. Position the drive with the drive connectors facing up, as shown by the figure
below.
9. Set the drive carrier over the drive, as shown by the letter “A” in the figure. The
data and power connectors must be positioned so they are accessible through the
cut-out, shown by letter “B”.
10. Use the four screws provided to attach the drive to the carrier. See letter “C” in the
figure.

11. Set the drive assembly into place in the chassis. See letter “A” in the figure below.
12. Attach the drive assembly to the chassis with the screw that you removed in Step 6.
See letter “B” in the figure below.
Note: The assembly that contains the optical drive bracket must be installed at the left side of the
system.
