Viewing System Diagnostics 

The System Diagnostic page can be used to download a file that contains data that was 
collected when a Catastrophic Error (CATERR) occurred on the system. When the BMC 
firmware sees CATERR asserted it will try to collect Global error registers data from the chipset 
on the board. This data can be used to help diagnose what could have caused the CATERR. 

To create the log file, press the 

Run Diagnostics

 button. It may take some time for the file to be 

created. 

Once the diagnostic log dump is finished you can click the diagnostic log filename to save the 
results as a .zip file on your client system. The file can then be sent to your system 
manufacturer or an Intel

® 

support engineer for analysis.
