RMM3 Lite and RMM3 Lite-V
RMM3 has two variations
– RMM3 Lite and RMM3 Lite-V, which have the same functionality as
RMM3. RMM3 Lite can be used only on Intel
®
Server Board S3420GPRX; it has no RMM3-
dedicated NIC. The management traffic can only go through the onboard Integrated BMC-
shared NIC (NIC5 on Intel
®
Server Board S3420GPRX) and share network bandwidth with the
host system. RMM3 Lite-V module can be used only on Intel
®
Server System SR1640TH, with
its RMM3-dedicated NIC separated and integrated on the server board.

Supported Operating Systems
The Intel
®
RMM3 runs independent of the host operating system on the server where it is
installed except during Remote Console (KVM) connections. During Remote Console
connections the Keyboard, Mouse and Video of the console system operate just as if you were
at the server where the Intel
®
RMM3 is connected. During Remote Console connections, the
interaction with the host operating system limits the support to operating systems that have
been validated. Those operating systems are listed in the following sub sections.
