2.1 flows over and the INSYS Modem 56k small EU 2.1 resets itself. In this
case, you will hear the relays click during the uploads. It is possible that an
error message is displayed.
Before you start with the upload, ensure that no other programs are active
on your system, which could interrupt the data flow at the serial interface.
Opening a DVD drive, playing music or connecting a USB device can also
disturb or interrupt the data flow. As a result, the INSYS Modem 56k small
EU 2.1 may fail to function, and only INSYS MICROELECTRONICS will be able
to restore it.

Type
AT**
to start the firmware upload.
The modem reports "
Download initiated ...
".
7.
Use the terminal program to send the file with the firmware loader, such as
"P9-02-16.S37".
The upload progress is displayed by dots in the terminal window.
The INSYS Modem 56k small EU 2.1 will report the successful upload of the
firmware loader, e.g. with
NV_RAM Uploader - Rev 06
Upload NV_RAM Data .
If you didn't receive the previous message for a successful upload, the upload
has most probably failed. Try to reset the INSYS Modem 56k small EU 2.1 and
to repeat the process from step 4. If this fails and the INSYS Modem 56k small
EU 2.1 does no longer react to AT commands, please contact the INSYS MI-
CROELECTRONICS support department.
8.
Use the terminal program to send the file with the firmware, such as
"20B7.S37".
The upload progress is again displayed by dots in the terminal window.
After a successful upload, the INSYS Modem 56k small EU 2.1 will display:
Device successfully programmed

The INSYS Modem 56k small EU 2.1 will reset itself and is ready for opera-
tion.
