Chapter 11 Maintenance
Symptom
Potential cause
Check / solution
Personnel
qualification
Pump is not
delivering enough
material
Pump worn or delivery
pressure too high.
• Replace the pump.
• If the delivery pressure is too high, reduce the hose length.
Machine

Pump is delivering no
material
Blockage in the
material hose due to
coupling points or
hose reductions or
unsuitable mortar or
old hoses.
• In the event of a blockage, immediately switch off the ma-
chine in order to prevent the blockage from becoming stuck
further.
• When removing blockages, bear in mind that mortar lines can
be under pressure even when the machine is switched off.
Check the display on the mortar pressure gauge.
• The machine must never be run in reverse. To do this, press
the “REVERSE PUMP” button.
• Danger: Open hose couplings only when the display is de-
pressurised, your face is turned away and you are wearing
protective goggles.

Blockage in the pump
unit (Rotor/stator).
• Check the mortar pressure gauge. If it displays no pressure
and the mortar hose is soft, there may be a blockage in the
pump unit.
• Danger: Open hose couplings only when the display is de-
pressurised, your face is turned away and you are wearing
protective goggles.
• Loosen the screws (which ones?) on the stator and carry out
further pumping tests. If it is not possible to remove the block-
age by continuing to turn the pump with the mortar hose
disconnected, the pump unit must be dismantled.
• Clamp the stator in a vice and turn the rotor anticlockwise out
of the coating.

Material
consistency
too thick
The amount of
water supplied is too
low; fluctuations in
water pressure.
• Increase the flow volume by adjusting it on the needle valve
of the water fitting.
• Check the water pressure at the pressure gauge of the water
fitting (min. 2.5 bar)
Machine
operator
too thin
The amount of
water supplied is too
high.
• Reduce the flow volume by adjusting it on the needle valve of
the water fitting.

Consisten-
cy fluctua-
tions
The material supply
or water quantity is
fluctuating.
• Check the mixing coil for adhering material, and then clean
and dry it before reinserting it.
• Check the water inlet screen; clean the water screen if nec-
essary.
• Check the water pressure of the supply line; regulate the wa-
ter pressure if necessary.
• Check the setting on the pressure reducer; regulate the set-
ting if necessary.
