Expert settings for the 3D sensor
In standby mode
●
the configuration wizard is not available,
●
the settings of the 3D sensor cannot be changed
The expert settings contain settings for the 3D sensor under the [3D sensor] tab:
1 [Blockage detection]: Set the sensitivity of the active soiling detection for the pane of the 3D sensor
Possible settings:
– [Off]
– [Low sensitivity]
– [Medium sensitivity]
– [High sensitivity]
2 [Reflector detection threshold]: Set the detection of reflectors Reflectors are detected more reliably at
low levels
The setting affects the detection of objects at close range and in wet conditions
3 [Modulation frequency mode]: The modulation frequency helps to avoid interference when the
measuring ranges of several 3D sensors overlap If there are several 3D sensors on a vehicle, each
3D sensor is assigned its own group Possible settings
– [Group 1]
– [Group 2]
– [Group 3]
4 [Intelligent averaging]: The intelligent data averaging calculates an average of the raw data The
number of distance measurements over which data averaging is calculated is set A high setting
reduces the signal noise and increases the accuracy of the 3D sensor However, a high setting also
increases the latency Possible settings:
– [Off]
– [2 frames]
– [3 frames]
5
[Low-quality pixel filter]: The "low-quality pixel filter" can filter pixels of dark objects. With a high setting,
the signal quality of pixels must be higher to be included in the evaluation A high setting reduces
sensitivity, which leads to the suppression of false triggers However, detection of dark and small
objects is more difficult Possible settings:
– [Off]
– [Weak]
– [Medium]
– [Strong]
