8.6 Connecting the 3D sensor and illumination unit
1� Connect the M12 socket of the long side of the E3M171 CAN adapter cable
to the M12 connector of the 3D sensor

2� Connect the blue and brown wires of the E3M171 to a power supply: blue:
GND, brown: L+ (9...32 V DC).
The BasicDisplay, the BasicController and the 3D sensor are supplied with
power via the E3M171 CAN adapter cable�
To maintain the IP protection rating, the socket

must be sealed with a
protective cap�
3� Connect the E3M120 MCI connection cable to the connector

of the 3D
sensor�
4� Connect the other end of the E3M120 MCI connection cable to the
connector

of the illumination unit�
5� Connect the M12 socket of the E3M133 connection cable to the M12
connector

of the illumination unit�
6�
Connect all 4 wires of the E3M133 to a power supply: blue: GND, brown: L+
(9...32 V DC).
8.7 Connecting the E2M Monitor
NOTE
The E2M monitor and the 3D sensor will be damaged if separate grounds are used�
► Connect the grounds (GND) of the 3D sensor and the E2M monitor.
