O3M area surveillance
UK
10 Set-up
Before set-up, the area surveillance is set (→ "10.1.3 Configuration wizard").
The following parameters of the 3D sensor and the vehicle are necessary for set-up:
●
inclination angle of the 3D sensor
● height of the 3D sensor (→ "7.3 Measuring the inclination angle and height of the 3D sensor")
●
width of the vehicle incl tolerance
When the set-up has been completed, the monitoring mode is activated and the system is ready for
operation (→ "10.2 Monitoring mode").
After set-up, carry out a function test:
►
Drive towards an object at typical speed and check the reaction of the system
10.1 Setting the area surveillance
The area surveillance is divided into 3 zones The 3 zones represent risk levels, with zone [
] representing the lowest risk level and zone [ ] the highest risk level The size of the zones can be
adjusted for different vehicles and scenarios The distance to the detected object determines the active
zone:
●
zone [
] (yellow): risk level 1
●
zone [
] (orange): risk level 2
●
zone [
] (red): risk level 3
If an object is detected in a zone, this causes a change to:
●
the output of the BasicController,
●
the background and text colour of the BasicDisplay,
● the acoustic signal emitted (if a buzzer is connected).
If an object is in more than 1 zone, the closest risk level is displayed
Readjusting the 3 zones:
► Press the 4 function keys simultaneously (→ "9 Operating and display elements").
In the following, the area surveillance is set via the BasicDisplay Once the setting has been carried out,
the monitoring mode is activated and the system is ready for operation (→ "10.2 Monitoring mode").
Use the following key combination to switch back to the operating status from any menu:
► Press the 4 function keys simultaneously (→ "9 Operating and display elements").
